Therapeutic writing is writing aimed to improve your health. Therapeutic writing does so through protocols. Writing protocols are sets of instructions and guidelines to follow while writing. You can think of them as writing or journaling exercises. These protocols can have long lasting effects by guiding how we think while writing, and in some cases increasing our ability to form new thought patterns (referred to as neuroplasticity). The protocols we have collected here have a positive impact not only on your mental health but on your physical health as well, as the brain plays a large role in regulating both.
